Arcosa Marine is searching for a Maintenance Manager in our Madisonville, LA barge plant.
Arcosa Marine is a leading U.S. manufacturer of barges that transport dry and liquid cargoes on inland waterways. Arcosa Marine manufactures tank barges that carry petroleum and other refined products, chemicals, fertilizer, ethanol, and other liquid cargoes. Arcosa Marine also manufactures dry cargo barges, including flat-deck and hopper barges that transport a variety of products, such as grain, coal, and aggregates.
Arcosa Marine’s Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all installation, repair and upkeep operations of our Madisonville, LA facility. Also, they ensure that their co-workers have the best physical resources available to complete their duties according to the allotted budget.
Manage a group responsible for facilities services such as property management, asset management and general facility services. Oversee the delivery of services that support the physical workplace; to include design engineering, space planning and general facility services. Develop plans/strategies, third party relationships and specific programs in order to achieve business objectives. Manage building maintenance technician(s), maintenance assistant(s), janitors, and administrative support. Manage the work of skilled craft (e.g., electricians, plumbers, painters) workers within a plant facility. Work involves equipment, building, and facilities maintenance. Manage execution of tactics within a specialized discipline or process area which may have diverse elements Typically 2nd level people manager Manage exempt employees and/or supervisors Accountable for the performance and results of a team within own
discipline or function Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plans; receives guidance from senior management Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers Participates in establishing, administering functional projects Develops, administers budgets, schedules, performance standards May be responsible for an operating facility Directs and manages resources to implement tactical business plans and programs
Required Experience: Bachelors Degree and or minimum of 3 to 5 years related management experience. Experience must be leading a maintenance department in the heavy manufacturing field in replacement of a Bachelors.
